Our Journey to Adventure

 

Hello there! We’re Sam and Amy! In April 2025, we purchased a caravan and renovated it, selling everything we owned in the process. Fast forward to now, and we’ve turned our dream into a reality. But, oh boy, what a rollercoaster ride it has been!

 

  • We had to part with everything we’d accumulated in our four-bedroom home and fit it all into a tiny caravan.

  • We plunged into a five-month renovation frenzy to transform our new space into a cozy home.

  • Chaos ensued as we balanced work, family, and selling our possessions.

What started as a leaky mess turned into an extensive renovation marathon because, frankly, we’re quite particular about our living spaces. Just five days before our planned departure, our car decided to throw a tantrum and broke down on the Logan Motorway, leading to an additional three weeks of waiting for repairs.

 

Then, my dad needed my assistance at the hospital. After sorting out his medications, we were finally ready to hit the road again. However, the universe had a twist in store: Sam, after a few too many tequila shots, took a tumble out of the caravan and injured his knee. Seriously, universe?

 

But nothing was going to deter us from making our dreams a reality. We were resolute about what we wanted for our lives, and nothing would stand in our way. In July 2025, we embarked on our grand adventure, traveling across Australia full-time.

 

Our story is about how we achieved this on a budget, learned to live within our means, and embraced the little moments that bring new meaning to living a fulfilling life. This is our tale, and we hope it inspires you to seize the day and not wait for tomorrow to live.

Meet Sam:
The Country Boy with a Passion for Adventure

Introducing Sam, a genuine country boy hailing from Roma, QLD. He is a proficient operator of trucks, buses, and various machinery. A true handyman extraordinaire, Sam has an impressive ability to fix nearly anything, including cars. His friends affectionately call him the “coupon man” due to his exceptional talent for uncovering fantastic bargains.

Sam has a deep love for birds and a keen interest in history. When he's not busy working, you can find him near the water, enjoying fishing, boating, or exploring caves. His adventurous Sagittarius spirit drives him to dream of drifting at the Ebisu Circuit in Japan. A true enthusiast of travel and history, Sam seizes every chance to discover new places and share their stories.

Meet Amy:
A Nature-Inspired Soul

Born in Brisbane, Amy draws inspiration from the beauty of nature and the profound interconnectedness of all living beings. From a young age, she felt an undeniable urge to actively engage with the magic that envelops us.

Her zest for life, truth, and enchantment has taken her on extensive travels around the globe. With an appreciation for diverse cultures and a desire to visit ancient, sacred sites, she aims to embrace life to the fullest. An animal lover and tree enthusiast, Amy enjoys activities such as hiking, painting, cooking, swimming, and writing books.

As a quintessential Aquarius, she embodies qualities of innovation, independence, and a vision for a brighter world. Free-spirited and humanitarian, Amy is passionate about social change and celebrates her individuality as a forward-thinking person. However, she sometimes finds it challenging to conform to authority and displays a hint of rebellion.
